Transfer and Signing
Lechia Gdańsk officially welcomed Ukrainian defender Danylo Beskorovanyj on Friday after paperwork was completed. The transfer was supposed to be finalized last week, but travel issues delayed the signing. After passing medical tests and sorting out the “paperwork”, Beskorovanyj signed a permanent transfer contract from Polissia Zytomierz. The agreement runs until 30 June 2029.
The New Defender
Beskorovanyj stands 194 cm tall, is left-footed, and possesses solid physical attributes, a rarity among centre-backs. In 2019 he won the FIFA U-20 World Cup with the Ukrainian national team. He spent the last months on loan at Sumqayit PFK in Azerbaijan.
Why Lechia Needs Him
Coach Władysław Łupaszko has secured a central defender who will be a “cure” for the team’s problems, as young players have been forced to play in his place so far. Acquiring Beskorovanyj is a priority, and the club plans to add more defenders in the future.
