Lechia Gdańsk will face Pogoń Siedlce on Saturday (August 22) at Polsat Plus Arena. Coach Vladyslav Lupashko outlined the team's status ahead of the match. New signing Danylo Beskorovaynyi is ready but not fully fit. He has completed only one training cycle. 'Questions arise when a new player joins, but the club is doing everything to help. You will see him on the pitch tomorrow,' said the coach. Goalkeeper Axel Holewiński's progress requires further development. 'The players in the starting line-up have no motivation issues. They must understand that I expect 100% effort in training,' emphasized Lupashko. The coach highlighted that the squad has more players, increasing competition. 'The key is combining quality with intensity. We must train intensely, but without quality, it's a problem. Young players are adapting to daily hard work,' he added. In his assessment of Pogoń Siedlce, Lupashko noted they are a team that plays well with the ball, is dangerous on counterattacks, and aims to attack quickly. 'We have our plan and are prepared,' he stated. On Lechia's attack, Lupashko stressed that goals depend on training effectiveness. 'If we don't score many in training, it will be similar in matches. We're working on finishing efficiency,' he said. Regarding Holewiński's progress, the coach mentioned that current goalkeepers have an edge, but time will help. 'Players who trained with me from the start are slightly ahead. It's not his fault-it's just time. Every player who worked with me has caught up, so he just needs time,' concluded.
