Sport director Paweł Golański of Korona Kielce confirmed in Canal Sport that there's no sense in continuing negotiations with Bohdan Wjunnyk. The 2,4-year-old forward from Lechia Gdańsk refuses to transfer to the Kielce club, which prefers Legia Warsaw. Wjunnyk's statement closes the door for his transfer to 'Złocisto-Krwiści'.
Wjunnyk's statement closes transfer chances
Wjunnyk openly announced that he's only interested in Legia Warsaw, where he wants to play thanks to the interest of coach Marek Papszun. Fans of Korona are pleased that the club hasn't ended its activities yet, but the player's statement closes the door for Kielce. 'Złocisto-Krwiści' unexpectedly are one of the most active clubs on the transfer market, convincing to join the sought-after Kamila Jakubczyka and bringing in Patrik Hellebrand from Gornik Zabrze.
Golański: No sense in further negotiations
Golański emphasized that there's no sense in bringing in a player who doesn't want to be part of Korona Kielce's project. 'Absolutely, it's not in our philosophy to have players who aren't convinced about this project join the club,' he said. According to the sports director, every player who joined the club previously declared interest in the Kielce project, so negotiations with Wjunnyk had no sense. Now everything depends on Legia Warsaw, which must put money on the table to get the player from Gdansk.
