Lechia Gdańsk refused to give Wieczysta Kraków a proxy, preventing them from participating in the Ekstraklasa general meeting. As a result, the representative of Wieczysta - Łukasz Ścigalski - could not participate in the general meeting of shareholders of Ekstraklasa SA. There was also no one from Lechia, so 18 shareholders - one from each of the remaining Ekstraklasa clubs and a representative of PZPN - participated in the meeting. Decisions made by the general meeting in such a composition are binding. Lechia Gdańsk still does not recognize the relegation from PKO Ekstraklasa and did not give Wieczysta a proxy, which prevented them from participating in the Ekstraklasa general meeting. Lechia Gdańsk started the season with five negative points for violating licensing conditions. In the final reckoning, two "goals" were missing to secure their place in the Ekstraklasa. If it weren't for the imposed penalty, the club would still be playing in the Ekstraklasa. Lechia Gdańsk issued a strong statement, expressing their opposition to "the decision made by PZPN, which is not in accordance with the law, to deduct points from the club". It was also announced that the matter would be referred to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne.
