Lechia Gdańsk has kept its 2026/27 season ticket prices unchanged despite being relegated to the I liga for the 2025/26 season. The move has sparked controversy among fans, who expected cuts after the drop. Season tickets will remain valid for both I liga matches and Ekstraklasa games if the team returns, Lechia confirmed in an official statement on 14 July 2026.

Why did Lechia Gdańsk leave prices as they are?

Lechia Gdańsk argues that high matchday costs — which it says stay the same regardless of league level — justify the unchanged prices. The club calls the decision a contribution to financial stability and a sign of loyalty to its fans, who have backed the team through tough times. It also frames season tickets as a direct investment in the club’s future, even now.

The pricing tiers run from four categories. Standard season tickets range from 544 PLN (supporter’s stand, sectors U, V, W, X) up to 884 PLN (sectors O, P, Q, R). Discounted seats for students, seniors over 60 and children under 13 cost 462–751 PLN and 435–707 PLN respectively. The most expensive options are in the Prestige Zone: Gold seats cost 9,180 PLN (standard) or 7,344 PLN (discounted), while Silver seats are priced at 5,500 PLN or 4,400 PLN.

Why the controversy?

Fans have reacted with sharp criticism, asking why Lechia didn’t cut prices after dropping out of Ekstraklasa. The club insists every home game is a major logistical and financial operation, and stable pricing helps maintain fan bonds even in harder times.

The scope of the season tickets has also raised eyebrows. Unlike many clubs that limit validity to league play only, Lechia has made its abonamenty valid for Ekstraklasa too — should the team return. That policy breaks from the usual playbook and is already drawing debate.

What’s next for Lechia Gdańsk?

Lechia Gdańsk has lost its last five matches (0W-0D-5L) and sits 16th in Ekstraklasa with 38 points from 34 games (12 wins, 7 draws, 15 losses). The side has scored 62 goals and conceded 65, for a −3 goal difference. Their most recent outing, a 2-3 home loss to Nieciecza on 23 May 2026, underlined the team’s struggles at the tail end of the season.

The club has made it clear that returning to Ekstraklasa is the top goal. By keeping ticket prices steady, Lechia says it’s locking in financial stability to help fund that push. Seat reservations from last season stay open until 24 July — the final chance to lock in your spot before kickoff.
